As former President of the Alumni Committee, I am pleased to say that my experience on the Alumni board was deeply purpose-driven. Our vision was clear – 1) serve as a guiding voice for our undergraduates and junior doctors; 2) offer direction, mentorship, and country-specific advice for postgraduate education. We also set out to build a supportive network for medical students to help them navigate the complex transition, from academia to clinical practice. Being part of the pioneering team that launched the Alumni body, I take great pride in helping build a system that will benefit young and ambitious minds for years to come.

Serving as the Alumni Vice President of GIMSOC was a rewarding experience, that allowed me to connect with aspiring physicians in need of guidance. GIMSOC has provided us with a bridge, between the future and the present of medicine, which is truly phenomenal. During my tenure, I'm glad to say that I've shared the stage with some truly outstanding medical professionals, and safe to say, I know GIMSOC is going to reach heights that we cannot comprehend. Just happy to know that, I was part of it and we built that! Leading this Alumni team was a rollercoaster, a lesson and an irreplaceable experience all rolled in one, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
